David became Director of Community Dialogue in May 2010. David has been involved with Community Dialogue since its formation in 1997 serving in various roles, including Chairperson, Operational Director, Senior Research Advisor and Senior Research and Training Coordinator. He has been involved in peace building work for 30 years and served with organisations including Project Portadown, Cooperation Ireland and Community Development Centre North Belfast.<br />
David graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1988 with a BA in Archaeology; he completed a PhD in Social Anthropology in 1992 and was subsequently awarded a series of Research Fellowships on conflict and identity in Northern Ireland. David also works as a part time archaeologist.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>“I am privileged to be continuing the vital groundwork and development of the dialogue process instigated by those who preceded me, those individuals who set up Community Dialogue from 1997 onwards.”</em></p>
<p>Jim has been with Community Dialogue as the Dialogue Development worker since April 2009. Jim has been extensively involved in the field of peace building over the last 10 years and is currently co-chair (and founder member) of Towards Understanding and Healing which encourages groups involved in the Northern Ireland conflict to deal with the past by engaging in a process of storytelling and dialogue. He is also a member of the management committee of the Junction Community Relations Centre in Derry/Londonderry which engages groups across the North West region.</p>
<p>Jim has extensive research experience in the area of conflict including work on the impact of cross border links on peace building while with the Centre for the Study of Conflict, University of Ulster.</p>
<p>Jim is married to Carmel and has two grown up daughters Grainne and Maeve.</p>

<div>Lyn has been working in the fields of conflict resolution and ethnicity for over 30 years and became involved in the work of Community Dialogue because she recognised the value of ensuring that the voices of a very wide section of the community be heard.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Lyn has recently retired from her role as Coordinator of Building Communities Resource Centre, which worked throughout the Causeway Coast and Glens district council area and beyond. BCRC’s core activities included Networking and Community Development Support, Ethnic Minority and Migrant Worker Support, Disability Development and Support, promoting good community relations,  conflict resolution and peace-building.</div>

<div>Lyn’s work as a peace builder was recognised by Ulster University in 2023, when she was awarded an honorary doctorate to mark the 25th anniversary of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement. She is also one of the Hume Foundation&#8217;s Peace Guardians.</div>

All Souls’ is a member of the Non-Subscribing Church of Ireland, NSPCI, and has maintained its role as a church with no creed, which is open to everyone, without preconditions. Previously, Chris worked as a Trade union official for 18 years in Dublin. He was also a Trustee for Oxfam Great Britain and Honorary Chair of Oxfam Ireland for 4 years. Chris led The Peace Train organisation during The Troubles, and was in direct discussion between Loyalist (UVF) Paramilitaries and the Irish Government in Dublin. He also campaigns on behalf of LGBT Rights in Northern Ireland.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Anne has a long history in community peace building and reconciliation in Northern<br />
Ireland. She is a founding pioneer parent of integrated education, having been<br />
instrumental in the inception and development of All Children’s Integrated Primary<br />
School, Newcastle, Co. Down, founded in 1986 and Chair of the Board of Governors<br />
for fourteen years.</p>
<p>She was Co-Ordinator of the Women Together for Peace<br />
organisation from 1990 – 2001 and helped co-found the Community Dialogue<br />
organisation in 1997.</p>
<p>Throughout the years since she has developed and facilitated<br />
countless critical community engagement and dialogue programmes. Anne was the<br />
first elected Councillor for the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition, serving on Down<br />
Council from 1997 – 2001 and is currently a Board member of the International Fund<br />
for Ireland.</p>
<p>She has recently joined the Advisory Board of the Global Women’s<br />
Narrative Project based in Oxford University and has worked both locally and<br />
internationally in promoting dialogue and story sharing as critical processes in the<br />
development of an inclusive, just and fair shared future for all.</p>

<p>Beyond her professional career, Margaret has been a dedicated <strong>Executive Board Member</strong> at <strong>Community Dialogue</strong> since 2013, having initially joined Community DIalogue as a volunteer researcher.</p>
<p>Her commitment to community engagement reflects her passion for bridging divides and promoting meaningful, lasting change.</p>
