International Peace Day 2022 saw the project HerStory launch nine larger than life Peace Heroine portraits and an extensive educational exhibition telling the stories of thirty women involved in many ways in making peace possible in Northern Ireland.

The brightly coloured, vibrant portraits by local artist Friz, include Anne Carr, Bronagh Hinds and Eileen Weir, all of whom have been involved in the development of Community Dialogue over the years.

Melanie Lynch is the passion behind HerStory, and since 2016 has been highlighting women in history and telling their important stories in many creative ways. Katelyn Hanna was tasked with researching and gathering the stories and putting the exhibition together.

The Portraits and Exhibition are currently on display in Glencree and move to The Tower Museum, Derry in January. Full details on the website
